One year later...
It has been a long time since I have done this.
A lot has happened in the past year that I should have been updating.
So here goes my attempt at being better.
At the end of 2013 I had a friend from high school who did a recap of her whole year in a post.
I loved it so much that I kept a list of things that has happened in 2014.
Our 2014
January:
-Started of our first full year as a married couple
-We went to Disneyland together for the first time with his family
February:
-We made a quick trip to Utah to attend my first sealing and watch my best friend, Heather, marry her Jacob.
-We had our first Valentines together as a married couple
March:
-I threw my first St. Patrick's Day party for my in-laws!
-Mom and Meg come to visit us in Yuba City, CA
April:
-We make a surprise visit to Utah and had a great, busy 4 days
-We welcome our niece, Danika Laveve Hardwick, into the world and went to the hospital to meet her
May:
-Jarom has his background interview for CHP
-We spend a week in Newport Beach with my family. Went to Disneyland, the beach, ate food and had a wonderful time!
-My wedding ring was stolen from our hotel room. :( Saddest day ever
-Jarom finds out he has been disqualified from CHP
-We have to start from square one concerning Jarom's career
June:
-Danika is blessed in church
-We decided to move back to Utah so Jarom can return to school for Physicians assistant.
-And say goodbye to our first apartment together, so many great memories
-We move into my parents basement (even though I swore I would never do that!)
-Jarom and I buy tickets to go to Thailand in August to visit where he served his mission.
July:
-I donate plasma for the first time and HATE it.
-Jarom takes a CNA course
August:
-We go to Thailand!
-I start work at Legacy Preparatory Academy as an instructor
September:
-Jarom starts work as a CNA (and HATES it)
-Jarom decides he hates CNA work and would rather teach high school
-Grandma Pat passes away on September 27, 2014
October:
-We attend Grandma Pat's funeral and I speak at a funeral for the first time [nerve wracking]
-We make a quick trip to Gridley for our niece, Regan's, baptism
-I decide to cut off some of my hair, thinking it was a good idea [I was wrong]
-We have our second Halloween married and dress up as Medusa and her Stone husband
November:
-Celebrate Jarom's 28th Birthday
-Spend a few days in Gridley for Thanksgiving Break
December:
-I get put in as a permanent teacher in the 4th grade at LPA [not overwhelming at all-enter sarcasm]
-I spend my first Christmas away from my family [Thankfully, I have the best in laws ever]
-I turn 25 (yikes!)
I am amazed at the many blessings that Jarom and I have received in our marriage.
The Lord truly is aware of us and I know that it is because of Him that I have been so richly blessed.
